This is my conversation with someone from Eyeball records.

I know you just are blood thirsty for money, but this was a great way to promote your music to kids that couldn't afford it. I was deeply considering buying some of TN12LLY's earlier CD but now I don't want any parts of them. I'm sure I would of liked the other 2 bands that we're on there and probably would of paid to go to a show and buy a shirt or the actual EP. So in general thanks for destroying your own reputation and a great tool!

Not lovingly,
Andrew Utah

Andrew,
We provide full song downloads, and full album streams prior to release. We always provide kids with free content, but it needs to be on OUR terms. We need to decide what you get for free.
I have a wife and a fifteen month old daughter and I can barely support them because kids steal so much of the music that I pay to make. Why should a label like mine continue to shell out tens of thousands of dollars in recording money if kids just steal the music when the records are finished?
I wrote that letter to the blog, and the girl who put the blog up sent the letter to ap.net
It wasn't meant for a tool. I was completely within my rights to try and protect my copyright so me and my bands can survive.
Many of our bands called today to thank me.

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter and wife, how can support them. But conversely you work for an independent music company you should of known that you wouldn't make a lot of money. So I don't think charging that girl around $32,000 is sane, to make up for your low profits, when she would of taken down the links like Vagrant Records did with another Blogger. Sometimes I buy a record and it's too scratched to play so I use it as a back-up.Your bands should be thanking Kinixton for a stronger fan base. I'm pretty sure the Blogs had links to buy the records, but i can't go and double check. That's a lot more thoughtful than Limewire would do.

Thank you for answering this questions,
Andrew Utah

Andrew,
I can tell you we probably won't be pursuing legal action. We're satisfied hat she took her blog down and we were able to put a band aid on a bleeding wound for a little while.

Marc,
I still think you handled that situation in a incorrect manner, but that was your choice so i will choice to still ban your merch, bands, and everything eyeball related.
